Woolpit Village Hall

Woolpit Village Hall is a fine, modern hall, which can accommodate 140 seated at tables, 160 buffet/dance and 275 with close seating. It has good lighting and gas fired air heating with pre-set controls for the Main Hall. Wall mounted electrical convectors are fitted elsewhere. There are air circulation controls for the Main Hall and 3 overhead fans. The Stage has an area of 12 m. by 7.5 m. (total area 90 sq. m). Acoustics are excellent, and the Stage and Dressing Room provide great facilities for visiting artistes and local productions. The Hall is licensed for public entertainment, theatre and for the sale of alcohol. In addition to the Main Hall, there are two meeting rooms, one on the first floor and one adjacent to the Stage (the Cathie Prior Room) which is also ideal as a Dressing Room for Stage Productions. With the exception of the first floor meeting room, all parts of Woolpit Village Hall are accessible by wheelchair. Access to the Stage is by stairs or wheelchair lift. There is good Car Parking available with 40 places in the Hall Car Park (2 for disabled drivers) and another 25 places in the MSDC Car Park opposite the Church. In addition there is plenty of space on the Field for parking, weather permitting. The Western side of the field has been reinforced with matting. A great number of activities take place in the Hall including Badminton, Ballet, Carpet and Short Mat Bowls, Drama, Flower Club, Toddlers Groups, Aikido, Pilates, Spanish lessons, Line Dancing and Yoga. The Hall is a great venue for meetings, parties, wedding receptions and other social get-togethers.
