The Old Felixstowe Community Association was formed on 31st July 1973 and held its first AGM on 16th October 1974. Building work on the Community Centre, on the site of the old Parish building started in April 1976 and the official opening took place on 12th March 1977.
The Centre has been continually expanded and modernised since then. The first Saturday Community Market was held in 1977, and the Christmas card delivery scheme began in 1982, both these projects are still running today.
Over 30 groups and organisations from Old Felixstowe and beyond use the Centre regularly and it is available for private functions such as meetings and parties.
Over the years, we have been fortunate in having a very large number of individuals who have given freely of their time and energy to serve the community by acting as officers or committee members and by helping to run the wide range of fund-raising and other activities.
