Haughley Village Hall

This community facility in the heart of the village is ideal for events, meetings, parties and conferences.

A charming period building, opened in 1907, Haughley Village Hall serves the diverse needs of the village perfectly from its central location.  The facility boasts a splendid stripped sprung floor – ideal for dancing and athletic activities – a fully equipped kitchen, toilet facilities and can take a capacity of 100 in the main hall.  A smaller function room is also available, and a third room – the Green Room – has recently been renovated and brought into use.

Extensive refurbishment has been carried out over the past 10 years.  MDSC provided substantial capital grants for the recent replacement of the Main Hall floor and for the repair of the roof in 2018.  They have also provided financial support to offset the loss of operating income during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Haughley is an active, vibrant community – as evidenced by the list of regular users of the hall, including the Pre-School, HATS,  Tai Chi, Cara Lea Disco Dancing, Haughley Hoofers, The Women’s Institute, Haughley Arts & Crafts

Nevertheless, there are spaces in the diary available for booking for private parties and events.
