Laxfield Village Hall

The perfect setting for every occasion from weddings to hosting dances, parties and special celebrations. The historic village of Laxfield lies close to the market towns of Framlingham, Harleston and Halesworth yet is far enough away to retain it’s own services and a strong sense of community. The village boasts two shops, two pubs, a primary school, church, chapel and village hall. An agricultural settlement since pre Norman times, Laxfield is recorded in the Doomsday book as Laxefelda. It boasts a fine church with a magnificent 15th Century stone and flint tower. Opposite the church is the beautiful Guildhall, originally gifted to the parish by the Lord of the Manor as a church house and now home to the village museum. Within this quintessentially English setting stands Laxfield’s extended and modernised village hall. Perhaps the best used of all the villages fine buildings, the hall is at the heart of the community’s social life, regularly hosting dances, parties and other entertainments. Whether you are from Laxfield or one of the surrounding villages or if you live further afield you will be warmly welcomed at our village hall.
